Interesannt die Circle Line (Circle bleibt Circle)

dann die neue Linie "Yerkes Line" (nach dem Underground Finanzier)

und eine komische Linie von dem ich nicht wusste das es jemals solche Planungen gab!

Auch die Bakerloo Line ist wieder in der Ursprünglichen Länge (... wenn wahr dann neue Heimat der 1967 Tube Stock die noch auf der Victoria fahren!)

In der Tat, sehr interessant. Aber eigentlich nicht neu. Die Yerkes Line ist nur die abgetrennte Nothern Line West End branch, die betrieblich gesehen sowieso eine Einheit ist und bei der auch schon länger diskutiert wird, sie als eigenständige Linie zu betreiben. Bakerloo bis Watford Junction ist doch meines Wissens schon beschlossene Sache, oder? T-Cup für die Circle und das grüne ist doch einfach nur die Chelsea-Hackney Line, die doch ursprünglich mal ein Ende der Central übernehmen sollte, ich meine das nach Epping.

It appears that plans to spilt the Circle Line may have been brought forward to December 2009. This has been reported by the Rail Professional February 2009 issue, whichs claim to have confirmation from London Underground.

The plan to create a straighter Circle Line is not new, as it had problems since it was first introduced. Without ending at any point, the line suffers from lateness as they can't recover a train.

The issue with terminating trains from Notting Hill at Edgware Road is that both Circle Line and Edgware Road District Lines trains would terminate in the four platform station, as well as Hammersmith & City and Circle Line trains to Kings Cross going through. This would mean the reduction of District trains, which may prove very unpopular. Similarly, changing using narrow staircases and footbridge at Edgware Road in large numbers could be a safely hazard.

The image above shows what the Circle Line might look like on the Tube map (alongside the Northern Line spilt and Crossrail 2, which also happen to be featured on the image).

One good piece of news is London Underground will provide a fall-back timetable, allowing the change to be reverted back to the current set up if its deemed unworkable. Review dates have been set at 3, 6 and 12 months after the change over. Extra staffing at Edgware Road is expected as well.

We will look to have the date of the timetable change confirmed shortly.

also wenn ich das verstanden habe wird im Dezember 2009 die Circle geändert, hoffen wir es das sie nicht Tea-Cup genannt wird!
